Jam Side Up is a Jazz Club hosted at the Calder House Hotel, Seascale, West Cumbria. If you like to play or listen to Jazz or Blues, then you have come to the right web site.

Next Jam Session: Friday 18 May 2012 at the Calder House Hotel, Seascale.
Music starts about 8:00. Please do not be shy about introducing yourselves if you want to join in and play. Bring your instrument or just come and listen!
If you have a piece of music that you want to play, bring a couple of Concert C parts for the Bass and Keyboard or Guitar and your own music in the key of your instrument. If you do not have the Concert C part, check out the Real Book indexes below. The Real Books will be available at the Jam but you'll need to check the arrangement and key before you play on the night.
MUSIC: We are not limited to it, but the club own Sher Music Real Books Volumes 1, 2 & 3 also the NW Jazz Real Books in Concert C, Eb and Bb. If you would like to see a complete alphabetic index of tunes from these books, you can click the link below:

ARRANGEMENTS AND FILE SHARING: The club has musical arrangements that can be used at the Jam Sessions. You can obtain mp3s of some of the arrangements and some backings.
